Have tried to investigate the origination of the last name of BUCK. Was it an Anglo-Saxon BRITISH name such as Buckham, or came from the German names, like that of Buckheimer? Does anyone know if this was always a short 1 syllable moniker or was it shortened from another name, such as listed above? Am doing research for a family of this last name so any help is welcomed.
