If anyone has information on a William A.(sometimes called Alexander) McDonald who married a Miss Rachel BURDON, in Bourbon Co., KY (they came from VA, prior to that–may have married there?)-in any case–seek IF W.A. McD, was BORN in VA or Born iN SCOTLAND??? His daughter Melita McDonald (Mrs.E.B.GEORGE)stated on the 1880 US Census, that her Dad (W.A.McD)was born in Scotland–but all other docs state in VA, c.1781-ish. Would like to know for sure, so can take the line back across the pond, over to Scotland-to find his forebears!!
